Why Bamboo?

“ At COP27, bamboo was declared as one of the top five solutions to mitigate global warming, and  replacing traditional housing materials such as carbon and steel with bamboo helps reduce carbon  emissions caused by the global housing sector.” (Washington Post 2022)

World Bamboo Day is observed on September 18 every year to raise awareness about bamboo worldwide. Bamboo has been a part of daily life for decades, but it hasn’t lately been used in an eco-friendly way.

The theme of this year’s World Bamboo Day is "Next Generation Bamboo" which highlights the importance of updating and applying bamboo in the modern world. It encourages the development of innovative bamboo solutions and the creation of new designs that leverage this adaptable plant.
