Bamboo Habba 2026 is our vibrant annual celebration dedicated to showcasing the versatility and sustainability of bamboo.

The Habba fosters creativity, environmental stewardship, and community connection, highlighting bamboo’s role as a sustainable solution for the future.

Join us for a day filled with art, nature, music, culture, and creative workshops. We’re excited to come together again as a community to celebrate Bamboo as a versatile natural material and medium for creativity.

Our collaborators:

  • Aravani Art Project will transform a wall into a vibrant environmental mural—an expressive, larger-than-life celebration of nature, interconnection, and ecological imagination.

  • Manasaram Architects will host an environment-focused sketching and painting workshop, creating space for participants to observe, interpret, and respond creatively to the living world around them.

  • Threads of Life and The Anonymous Indian Trust will present a tactile fabric installation, bringing together bamboo and reclaimed textiles in a thoughtful exploration of craft, memory, reuse, and sustainable material futures.

  • Artivist Aakanksha will lead a leaf-painting activity that turns fallen foliage into miniature canvases, inviting participants to find colour, texture, and possibility in nature’s everyday forms.

Give old fabric a new life. Transform textile scraps and forgotten materials into a striking chandelier-inspired decoration that brings colour, texture, and story into a space.

Nature Painting Workshop | 10.30 AM

Quick observation, fast color mixing, and simple composition to paint leaves, flowers, trees, skies, and water. Ideal for beginners and intermediates.

Bamboo Artefacts Making | 11.30 AM

From keychains and jewellery to pen stands and candle holders, discover all that bamboo can become. Make a small, functional artefact and take home a piece crafted by you.

Explore the delicate shapes and textures of bamboo leaves through printmaking. Create one-of-a-kind nature-inspired designs on paper, fabric, or bags using leaves as your canvas and tool.

Gather for an energising celebration of expression and performance. Featuring a skit, cultural dance, and live musical performance, this programme brings stories, movement, and music together to celebrate community and creativity.
